Worthing scaffolding collapse: more pictures

The West Sussex Highways team have been hard at work to remove the 20m x 8m scaffolding that fell in Shaftsbury Avenue, Worthing in the early hours of this morning.

The road was closed between The Boulevard and the Barrington Road junction, but has now reopened.

A spokesman for West Sussex County Council said: “The scaffolding has now been cleared from the carriageway and it is fully open.”
