More than 750 women walked ten miles from midnight until dawn in Eastbourne on Saturday raising over £96,000 for Chestnut Tree House, the only children’s hospice in Sussex.

The charity walk started and finished at the Sovereign Centre on Royal Parade.

Event organiser Joanna Goddard said, “The walk has been a huge success, with more women participating than last year and raising a fantastic amount of money.

“It costs nearly £7,000 to provide all the care services at Chestnut Tree House for a single day.”

Over the past three years, hundreds of women have taken to the streets and seafront of Eastbourne and raised collectively almost £300,000 for Chestnut Tree House.

The Night to Remember midnight walk for 2014 will be held on Saturday May 17 .
