A 30-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after reports of a stabbing in Herstmonceux last night (Thursday, May 26).
Police say officers were called to a cottage in Chilsham Lane at around 10.15pm after reports a man had been stabbed.
Officers found a 27-year-old man with wounds to his back and wrist. He was taken by air ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
Police say it appears he had sustained the injuries during a domestic dispute. The wounds were found to be superficial and following treatment he was discharged.
A 30-year-old woman, who police say was sharing the property with the victim, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. She is currently in police custody to await questioning.
