A woman and a 12-year-old girl were taken to the Eastbourne DGH after a two-car crash in King’s Drive last night (Monday, March 23).
Police were called to a mini-roundabout on King’s Drive, immediately outside the DGH, at around 6.30pm.
A blue Vauxhall Zafira, driven by a 44-year-old Eastbourne man, and a silver Ford Ranger, driven by a 43-year-old man from Berwick, near Polegate, had collided on the roundabout.
Neither driver was hurt but front-seat passengers in each vehicle suffered slight injuries and were taken to the EDGH for treatment.
A 43-year-old woman in the Vauxhall had suspected back injuries and firefighters cut off the vehicle’s roof so that she could be safely released. Following treatment she was detained for observation.
The 12-year-old girl in the Ford was treated but not detained.
