Eastbourne’s Lottery winner Diane Robson is living proof that the BN postcode is one of the luckiest in the country when it comes to creating millionaires.
Diane, who lives in Old Town, netted £2.4 million six years ago and last week endorsed the latest statistics from the National Lottery which shows the Brighton postcode now ranks a lucky 15 for the most National Lottery millionaires and at 20 for the most big prize winners across the UK.
The former shop assistant, who worked at Etam and more recently in Topaz Bridal before her big win, said, “I am living proof that BN is one of the luckiest areas in the country when it comes to winning the lottery. There are also many others from Eastbourne and Polegate who have won too so it is a lucky area.”
The number crunchers at The National Lottery have confirmed that since the launch of the National Lottery, a total of 41 millionaires have been created in the BN postcode.
Locally John and Jacqui Pinyoun, friends Yvonne Isted, Janice Vincent and Ann Crabb and Malcolm and Samantha Lange have all scooped major payouts in the National Lottery with their winning tickets.
A National Lottery spokesperson said, “Congratulations to the people of Brighton and Sussex, they live in one of the UK’s luckiest postcodes.”
Diane realised she was a winner six years ago July when she asked her sister Liz to read out the winning numbers.
She bought a house in Old Town, treated her family and purchased her dream car, a Peugeot 201 Cabriolet.
