Firefighters were called into action on Sunday morning.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said both Eastbourne and Pevensey firefighters were mobilised to Aberdale Road in Polegate at 10am after a tea towel was left on a cooker. No action was required but firefighters assisted the resident.

At 12.04pm Seaford firefighters were mobilised to a small kitchen fire in Bramber Lane, Seaford, which was out on arrival.

Last night (Sunday), Eastbourne firefighters attended a rubbish bin fire in Royal Parade, Eastbourne, where they used two buckets of water to extinguish the fire.

This morning (Monday) at 8.36am Eastbourne firefighters were sent to a camper van on fire along the seafront in Eastbourne.
