A weather warning for rain has been issued for Sussex as the storm that battered the USA makes its way across the UK today (Tuesday January 26).
The Met Office has posted the warning for tomorrow as strong winds and heavy rain are set to increase after today.
A mixture of heavy and light showers is forecast for the county this afternoon with gusts of around 40mph.
However, the rain is expected to be much heavier on Wednesday and the warning has been put in place for most of the day.
Strong gusts of wind will also create difficult driving conditions.
The temperature, though, is set to be higher than average at around 10 or 11degC.
At the moment Thursday is set to be a complete contrast with sunshine and a gentle breeze but with the temperature dropping a few degrees.
Storm Jonas brought hurricane-force winds and up to 60cm of snowfall to the East Coast of America, bringing many states to a standstill.
