Waitrose customers’ boost for good cause

Generous Eastbourne supermarket shoppers have given a boost to a Christmas lunch and party for the town’s elderly and lonely people. The Waitrose Old Town Community Matters project donated £491 to organisers the Rotary Club of Eastbourne. Waitrose’s John Spurgeon and Tara Salmon presented the cheque to rotary president Nigel Greaves.
