Vulcan is not a second rate show

As a 72-year-old aeroplane enthusiast I think the comments about Eastbourne (Airbourne) being second rate because the Vulcan isn’t appearing (Herald June 13) rather belittles all those excellent pilots who put on a great airshow every year.

The Vulcan’s appearance at Hastings and Rye (I believe) was organised by RAFA Hastings, and partly paid for by the owners of Priory Meadow Shopping Complex.

Airbourne is basically free and runs for four days, and if those of us who want to see something different or iconic we should be prepared to ‘stick a few bob in the bucket,’ not just expect EBC to cough up!
