X Factor hopeful Chloe Paige sang for pupils at her old school in Eastbourne this morning (Tuesday October 13).
The singer performed for pupils at Cavendish School at their morning assembly before answering questions from a group of Year 10 music students.
Chloe left the school around five years ago before moving to Brighton to attend university.
She said, “It feels strange coming back because it wasn’t long ago I was here myself. A lot of my old teachers are here and they have been really supportive.”
Earlier this month Chloe faced the Six Seat Challenge one of the final female solo acts remaining in the competition.
She said, “I’ve never felt that much nervous energy, I realised my legs shaking. It was really tough.
“All the judges have been really nice, especially Nick Grimshaw who has all the time in the world for you.
“Rita Ora was telling us her story and how she was signed three times before she was 17. She was always working really hard and told us to never give up and keep going and going.”
Chloe said, “I want to say thank you everyone for all the support it’s been so amazing. No matter what happens when I have support from home I feel safe.”
Chloe returns to the X Factor next weekend where she will find out if she has made it through to the next round.
