A Lancaster bomber from the RAF's Battle of Britain memorial flight also took to the skies, passing close to seafront to show off its classic design.
Other WW2 planes - a B-25 Mitchell, a P-51 Mustang and a Spitfire MK9 - also flew on Thursday afternoon.
The Red Arrows display team are set to fly later on today (Friday). Details can be found at www.eastbourneairshow.com.
