Eastbourne businesses joined MP Caroline Ansell and the founder of the British Curry Awards Enim Ali at a business networking event in the town on Wednesday night.

More than 75 people attended the Portcullis Club event at the Spice Garden in Old Town. The club aims to bring local entrepreneurs and businesses together with national business and political leaders.

Speeches were made by Caroline and Enim as well as Bangladeshi business leaders Pasha Khandaker and Shahagir B Faruk.

“It’s fair to say a great curry was served and there was a tremendous turnout of local businesses,” said the MP.
