Emergency services have been called to the scene of a serious collision on the A22 this afternoon (Monday, March 20).

Police confirmed officers have been called to Holme’s Hill at around 4.30pm after reports of a collision involving three vehicles near. The road is currently closed as emergency services attend the scene.

Sussex Police say the collision involves a Mercedes Benz van, a Vauxhall van, and a Citroen car.

Police say two women are trapped within the Citroen car, which is in a ditch by the side of the road. At least one of the trapped women is believed to have suffered serious leg injuries in the crash.

Officers are at the scene and are re-directing traffic along the B2124 Laughton Road.

Sussex Traffic Watch report that there is heavy traffic between Golden Cross and Halland as a result of the collision.
