Police are investigating after a teenager was assaulted close to the Martello Pub in Eastbourne on Wednesday night (April 20).
The 18-year-old victim was walking along Langney Rise just before 7pm when he passed two men and a woman standing by a bus shelter.
One of the men stopped him and asked if he had money or a phone before he was punched in the face and knocked to the ground. He was then robbed of an HTC One A9 mobile phone.
One of the men is described as white, 5ft 8in, with blonde hair, wearing a top with a red hood. The woman is described as white with brown hair.
Detective Sergeant Dave Tye said, “The victim was understandably very shaken by the attack. He recalls seeing the man who hit him looking through his wallet, which had been removed from his jeans as he laid on the ground.
“He was taken by ambulance to the Eastbourne District General Hospital where he was found to have sustained a suspected broken nose and two chipped teeth.”
Anyone with information about the assault or who may know those involved is asked to email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 101 quoting serial 1322 of 20/04. Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 (www.crimestoppers-org.uk).
