UKIP’s Bob Lacey reflects on successful night at the polls

Have your say

Former Conservative heavyweight Bob Lacey who defected to the UK Independence Party has been speaking of his party’s success in last Thursday’s East Sussex County Council elections.

Mr Lacey, a former borough and county councillor for the Tories, came second in last week’s fight for the seat in Devonshire ward.

The seat was retained by the Liberal Democrats but Mr Lacey polled 638 votes and says the future is looking good for the party, which came second in seven out of nine wards in Eastbourne.
