UKIP and Tory victory in Hailsham and Herstmonceux

The two county council seats for Hailsham and Herstmonceux have been taken by UKIP and Conservative party candidates.

Tory Bill Bentley and UKIP candidate Laurence Keeley have taken the seats in the East Sussex County Council election.

Bill Bentley got 19.8 per cent of the vote with 1,859 votes. But Laurence Keeley got the biggest percentage of the vote with 20.2 per cent - a total of 1,892.
