Temperatures are set to soar today (Tuesday) as the south east experiences a mini heatwave.

Forecasters say it will be very warm, but cooler along the coast due to the southeasterly breeze, which gradually strengthens. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 30°C.

On the roads this morning, major routes are fairly trouble free with motorists only experiencing slow traffic on the usual trouble spots.

Southern Rail is reporting a good service on routes.
