Touching tributes have been paid to an Eastbourne university student who died last night.
Jordan Flynn was in the first year of a physical education teaching course at the University of Brighton’s Eastbourne campus, which he started in October of last year.
The teenager, who was originally from Wales, passed away on Monday (February 2).
Friends and fellow students have taken to social media to pay tribute to the football fanatic.
Will Garrow wrote on Twitter, “R.I.P @JordanFlynn96. Was an honour to have known you! You were taken too soon, all my love to your family and to you wherever you may be.”
Jack Seddon tweeted, “RIP Jordan. You made a lot of people smile and we will all miss you. Amazing lad, heaven just received a Welsh angel, love you bro.”
Josh Donald paid tribute to his friend, saying, “Far too young to leave this world Jordan, you were a proper great lad. RIP mate, will miss you.”
A spokesperson from the University of Brighton said, “We were all deeply saddened to learn of Jordan’s death and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
“We are offering support to course staff and to Jordan’s fellow students.”
It is understood Jordan moved to Sussex with his family in 2010, attending Littlehampton Community School before moving to Eastbourne in 2014 to start studying at university.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place to determine the cause of death.
