A WOMAN who fell from her moving car after a shopping trip to ASDA in Eastbourne has died.

The 70-year-old woman, who was from Croydon, died in the early hours of Saturday morning.

She had been in a critical condition after falling out of the driver’s door of her red Renault Modus car as she left the ASDA petrol station at 10.20am on Friday.

She was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital with serious head injuries.

On Monday morning she was named as Sheila Moger, 70, of Church Road, Croydon.

Sussex Police Roads Policing Unit is investigating the collision and appealing for witnesses.

Officers are particularly keen to talk to a blonde woman driving a black car who is believed to have witnessed the collision but left prior to police arrival.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious and officers say anyone with any information is urged to contact Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999 quoting Operation Hayseed.
