SEAFORD: Motorcyclist suffers serious crash injuries

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a Seaford motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a crash.

The 55-year-old, who was riding a BMW motorcycle, was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Corsa on the A271 at Amberstone near Hailsham at around 11pm last Thursday (August 11).

As a result the motorcyclist, who suffered serious leg and arm injuries, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment.

The 18-year-old driver of the Corsa, from Herstmonceux, was arrested and questioned by police on suspicion of dangerous driving.

He has been released on police bail until Wednesday, October 12, pending further enquiries.
