A GROUP of soldiers’ wives and girlfriends have produced a glamour calendar to raise money for troops who have been injured during combat.

The Tiger Calendar Girls spent two days posing for shots which will be used in the calendar at the TA Headquarters in Seaside last month.

They are raising money for the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment, nicknamed The Tigers, and the calendar is to be printed soon.

Lisa-Marie Whitcombe from Eastbourne, whose boyfriend is one of the Tigers, is one of those behind the calendar.

She said, “The ladies involved in modelling for the calendar are all Tiger wives and girlfriends. It’s a charity that is very close to our hearts.

“The Tigers were deployed to Afghanistan last September and we are raising money for the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment with the money raised going towards helping the soldiers who have been injured during combat.”

Further information on the calendar is available through the Facebook page Tiger Calendar Girls (Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment).
