Police are seeking witnesses to burglary in Middleton Drive, Eastbourne earlier this week when goods worth around £1,500 was stolen.

The theft was discovered when the house alarm went off at 1.45pm on Monday, November 26. Thieves stole a laptop and five pieces of jewellery were taken, with a total value of some £1500.

Detective Constable Gary Baker said; “The house backs on to a playing field at the top of Lottbridge Drove, known as ‘Five Acre Field’.

“This is a popular location for dogwalkers and playing children alike, so its possible that people there might have seen something.”
