The Herald’s Lismore Road office is on the move this month – it will be combining with our Gildredge Road office to bring all our Eastbourne staff under one roof.

The Lismore Road office, manned by Angie Maynard, deals with family announcements (deadline is 12pm on Wednesday for the Eastbourne Herald and 12pm on Thursday for the Gazettes); photograph orders; Gazette and Herald subscriptions; ordering back issues of the paper and classified free ads.

Opening hours for her department are 9am-5pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 9am-4.15pm on Thursday and Friday.

The new phone number for her office is 01323 414497.

Anyone who wants to speak to a reporter should continue to call the usual editorial phone number (01323 414488).

Angie will be moving into her new home on August 20 and hopes to continue to welcome her many regular customers, some of whom she has got to know personally over the years, to the new reception office in Berkeley House.

The office is on the fourth floor Of Berkeley House, in Gildredge Road.

There is a lift for visitors to use.

The Herald and Gazette had originally moved into the Lismore Road office in April 1999.

The paper had been based at Pevensey Road, but then split with the front office moving to Lismore Road and the editorial and advertising moving to Commerical Road.

When the Commercial Road office closed, editorial moved to Gildredge Road and the advertising staff went out on the road, with a base over in Hastings. Now, front office and editorial will be combined again in the town centre.
