A teenager has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in Eastbourne yesterday afternoon (Thursday).
Police are appealing for witnesses after they received a report of a stabbing at around 5.10pm in Warrior Square.
They attended the scene and a 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged. He is due to appear at Eastbourne Magistrates’ Court this morning (Friday).
The victim was taken to hospital suffering from serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Detective Inspector Gavin Patch of Eastbourne CID said, “We are appealing for anyone who was in Warrior Square and witnessed this incident to get in contact with police.
“We believe this was a targeted attack and no one else was at risk.”
