RESIDENTS in Seaford are being reminded that the temporary library at Elm Court in Blatchington Road is now up and running.
Work is due to start soon on a new £6 million library and adult social care development at Warwick House in Sutton Park Road where the town’s usual library is based.
That has been closed which is why the temporary facility has been provided.
The library at Warwick House closed at the end of January and the temporary base opened its doors to the public late last month.
Seaford Library manager Sue Philpott said, “Customers are warmly invited to pop in and see us in our temporary location.
“The premises are reduced in size and although there is a reduction in the number of resources which the library service is able to offer, we are aiming to provide access to all areas of our collections either on a smaller scale or at other locations within the county.
“Customers can still expect the same high level of service which our staff have always provided.”
The temporary library is open on Monday to Thursday from 9.30am until 6pm, on Friday from 10.30am until 6pm and on Saturday from 9.30am until 5pm.
