TEENAGERS from a Seaside youth club have showcased their talents for a great cause.

The Funky Teens, a youth club for young people aged between 13 and 19 with learning and physical difficulties, staged the Funky Factor on Saturday (March 19) at the All Saints Centre in Grange Road.

Acts included singing, dancing, reading, football skills and comedy.

Joanna Bastable, manager, said, “We have some very talented young people at Funky Teens and this was a great opportunity for them to showcase their skills as well as raise money for a good cause.

“We had great feedback from the audience and parents too. It was a very entertaining evening.”

Fifteen young people took part in the talent show which raised £150 for Comic Relief.

The event was made possible after the group successfully bid for money from the Youth Opportunity Fund, which paid for the venue hire, props, costumes and refreshments.
