Teenager taken to hospital after Eastbourne assault

A 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital after he was found injured in Eastbourne on Sunday night (November 1).

Police were called to reports of a teenager acting strangely in Heather Close at around 1am.

Officers found a boy with injuries to his face, arms, legs and body. He was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital to be treated for minor cuts and bruises to his face.

Police say the boy had been involved in a fight in Milfoil Drive with a man they believe to be known to him.

A 23-year-old man from Eastbourne has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and possession of a knife.

He has been bailed until November 27 while investigations continue.
