A TEDDY bears’ picnic saw dozens of youngsters head to Princes Park with their best cuddly friends.
Around 30 children went to the fun day at the park, which was recently awarded a prestigious Green Flag. And according to one of the organisers, a good time was had by all.
John Henderson, of the Friends of Princes Park, said, “It was a lovely afternoon. Everyone had a great time and there was a real sense of community at the event.”
There was no cost involved and the children and their parents each took along their own picnic.
And, after the food was finished off, the youngsters grabbed their teddies and held a parade, with a prize going to the boy or girl with the best turned out bear.
Mr Henderson continued, “As far as I am concerned parks are there for young people to enjoy so it was great to see so many people turn up for the picnic. Thankfully, the weather stayed good.”
