Staff at a local business got in the swing of things by organising a golf day to mark its anniversary and help raise funds for a good cause.
The team at Trimseal were inspired to hold the fundraiser as employee Kathleen Mapp has been undergoing chemotherapy on the Pevensey Ward at the DGH over the last year for acute lymphoblastic lymphoma.
The event also tied in with the business’s 25-year anniversary.
During the evening reception a charity raffle was held to raise money for the Pevensey Ward Appeal. The appeal aims to improve facilities on the ward.
A total of £700 was raised from the raffle and Kathleen is pictured presenting the cheque to consultant haematologist Dr Sahu and some of the Pevensey Ward staff.
