Teachers from Motcombe School walked 22 miles at the weekend to raise money for new play and learning equipment for their pupils.
Five Early Years teachers set off from the Old Town school in Macmillan Drive on Saturday morning for the hike to the Community Play Things headquarters in Robertsbridge. The teachers say they are determined to raise the £2,000 to purchase the unique robust play equipment which is all made of natural resources.
“All schools rely on fundraising to provide extra resources for the children,” said Emma Moore at the school. “We decided the investment of our time would provide a resource to enhance children’s learning for many years to come.”
