Seaford residents, in conjunction with Surfers Against Sewage (SAS), held a beach litter pick in the town.
The litter pick was not only to clear up the town’s beach, but also to highlight the issue – and its effect on wildlife.
Spokesperson Sylvia Dunn said, “The beach clean was a great success. It was a bit windy but the sun was shining. We enjoyed refreshments afterwards, thank you to Dominic of Frankie’s Beach Cafe for providing.
“A big thank you to all the volunteers. We collected four large bags of rubbish.”
The Friends of Tide Mills also held their monthly beach clean up last week collecting nine sacks of rubbish.
