Supermarket asks for food support

CUSTOMERS at Sainsbury’s in Hampden Park and the Arndale Centre are again being asked to donate food for the supermarket chain’s Million Meal Appeal.

Last year customer’s contributions at the two stores helped provide 4,000 meals and the store is hoping shoppers will support it when it runs the appeal on Saturday and Sunday October 6 and 7.

This year’s FareShare appeal is a two-day food-drive to help charities and community projects which FareShare supports. Customers will again be able to choose to donate an item from the Million Meal Appeal shopping list which includes tinned and dried goods.
