Students at Sussex Downs College were visited by emergency services this week to find out about the dangers of drink and drug driving.
The visit was all part of a campaign by Sussex Police to highlight the risks of getting behind the wheel when drunk or under the influence of illegal substances.
Public uniform service students took part in a series of ‘sobriety tests’ activities to get an understanding of how drinking and taking illegal substances affects your ability. The team had to wear ‘beer goggles’ and walk a straight line while counting to nine and then balance on one foot. They also walked around cones.
They were also spoken to by the fire service and learnt about road traffic collision they have attended.
