EIGHT cyclists from Eastbourne have obtained sponsorship from Crumbles superstore ASDA for their London to Brighton bike ride in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

The trio of Peter Hood, Robin Crowhurst and Mark Osborn are part of an eight-strong group called Team Bannabourne (a group of Eastbourne cyclists who train at Bannatynes Health Club) who are busy training for the 54-mile event from Clapham Common to Brighton Pier on Sunday, June 17.

ASDA has provided the cyclists with fluorescent shirts to give them a strong team identity and has also invited them to collect sponsorship from shoppers at the store on Saturday, June 9.

Those wishing to support the cyclists should do so in store on June 9 or by sending donations to Bannatynes, 7 Edward Road, Eastbourne, BN23 8AS.
