Long-serving members of staff were rewarded for their dedication to Queen Alexandra Cottage Homes, Eastbourne’s oldest local charity, at its AGM.
Long service awards were presented to domestic assistant Brenda Hacker (25 years), care assistant Sheila Kendall (20 years), senior carer Pat Harmer (15 years), domestic assistant Jean Cooper (15 years), Matron Gill Thomas (15 years), domestic assistant Chris Morris (15 years), RN Ruth Hewess (15 years), care assistant Lisa Robinson (15 years), care assistant Ann-Marie Lawson (10 years), domestic assistant Linda Macartney (10 years), senior carer Sue Lavender (10 years) and senior carer Gosia Stevens (10 years).
The Homes, based at 557 Seaside, are made up of 36 one-bedroomed flats, 15 studio flats, nine bungalows and a 28-place residential and nursing wing.
The Trustees are keen to hear from people who may be interested in joining the management committee.
Experience in property maintenance and estate management, and in the care sector would be especially welcome.
