Rascals Playscheme at Cavendish Sports Centre became the third and final playscheme at Sport Eastbourne to receive a ‘Good’ rating following its Ofsted inspection last week.

Rascal’s playschemes run every school holiday at all three sites featuring an exciting range of led activities for all age groups, from four-12 years. Children are kept entertained with sessions packed with fun games, arts and crafts, sports, bouncy castles and the opportunity to play on gaming consoles such as the Nintendo Wii and Xbox consoles.

The team at Rascal’s playschemes are already preparing for two weeks of cracking Easter fun from April 3-13. Children will be kept entertained in a whole variety of ways, from an energetic Easter Egg Hunt to chilling out in front of a film. The schemes offer activities to suit all ages and personalities.

The next holiday playscheme will feature two special themes amongst the usual fun, with the first week showing newly released film favourites including big blockbusters such as Finding Dory, Moana, Zootopia, Life of Pets and Trolls.

The second week of the Easter holidays will feature plenty of seasonally themed fun. The Rascal’s team have organised an egg hunt and lots of opportunities to get arty with themed crafts and challenges. Every Thursday afternoon youngsters can also get stuck in to food-themed activities.

Eastbourne Borough Council Lead Cabinet Member for Tourism and Enterprise, Cllr Margaret Bannister, said, “It’s fantastic news that all three of Rascal’s playschemes have been given a positive rating from Ofsted. With three venues across Eastbourne, it’s a great opportunity for children to get trying new activities while on their holidays.”
