A local film-making company is looking for sponsors to help fund a five-minute film about next weekend’s Eastbourne Half Marathon.
Double Vision has a wealth of experience in the film-making industry and is now looking to put its knowledge into celebrating and capturing the many events that take place throughout the town, starting with the half marathon on Sunday (March 2).
The organisers have donated a small amount of money to the making of the professional film to get it started, but the company are hoping to attract further commercial and private sponsors to increase the budget.
A spokesperson for Double Vision said, “The film will be fast paced and will show the warm up, the start, highlights of the run, the junior run, the finishing line and the winners. All this will be intercut with shots of the entertainment and the beautiful scenery.
“Our ambition is to make this into a high-quality, four multicamera film. This, of course, takes time to achieve so we are now looking for sponsors, both commercial and private. The film will be promoted heavily through social media and local traditional media.”
The Eastbourne Half Marathon will start and finish at Princes Park, taking in Sovereign Harbour, the seafront and Beachy Head. Runners will set off at 9am on the Sunday morning.
People can donate via Paypal on the company’s website, www.double-vision.co.uk, or local businesses wishing to commercially sponsor the film can get in touch for further details by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Paypal is a secure and easy service to use, with the website also using a drop-down menu so people can choose exactly how much they wish to donate.
Double Vision has been based in Eastbourne for 16 years and has had experience working for the likes of Rolls Royce and Madonna, as well as producing several international TV documentaries.
