THERE are still places available for a fantastic fundraising walk around Sovereign Harbour.

The event takes place on April 22 and is in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Last year the sponsored walk raised £3,500 for Help for Heroes and is hoped this year will be even more successful.

It is being organised by the Rotary Club of Sovereign Harbour and is gaining support from all over the community, including Eastbourne Borough FC and their mascot Sammy Sunshine. In addition to being able to sign up on-line (www.harbourwalk.info/) walkers can also get involved in person on two recruitment days.

The first takes place at Eastbourne Borough’s ground during the team’s home match against Welling on April 7 from 2 to 5pm.

The second chance to sign up in person will be the Pevensey Coastal Defence meeting at the Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club from 2 to 6pm.
