A HAPPY Old Town couple celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary by strutting their stuff on the dance floor.
Reg and Kate Bodker celebrated with family and friends at The Star pub in Old Town.
Kate said she remembers it snowed all day when they married in 1952 in Walthamstow.
Their wedding day took place just after Queen Elizabeth ascended to the throne.
Kate had to be carried from the car to the Scout hut where they had their reception and the photographer covered up the Scout motto ‘Be Prepared’ as they posed for the pictures.
The couple have lived in Old Town for many years and they celebrated their milestone anniversary with four generations of Bodkers and their friends.
Reg and Kate were also delighted to receive a card from the Queen in her Diamond Jubilee year.
