A PAIR of pop loving youngsters from Eastbourne will showcase their singing in front of millions of X Factor fans this weekend.
Sophie and Chloe Matthews will be seen performing The Ting Tings’ hit That’s Not My Name as part of a string of clips shown in the run-up to the ad breaks during Saturday night’s show.
Each week fans are encouraged to upload a recording of themselves singing or dancing along to a chart hit, and the best are chosen to appear on the hit programme.
Four-year-old Chloe and six-year-old Sophie will appear alongside their mum, Sarah Matthews, who says the girls cannot wait.
“Sophie and Chloe will be over the moon,” she said, “I didn’t think we would be picked in a million years.”
“I was so surprised when I got the email that we were going to appear this week.
“Chloe is very excited about it all and can’t wait to see herself. It is the first time she’s ever done anything like this and she is starting school in September so it is something to tell her new friends.”
And, as if the X Factor appearance wasn’t enough, Sophie will be back on the small screen next month with a guest appearance on the Sooty Show.
She was picked to be an extra in the CITV show and will be shown racing Sooty and Sweep at a sports day.
