Sheep killed in Hellingly dog attack

Police are appealing for information after a sheep was killed in a dog attack in Hellingly.

The sheep – a ram – is believed to have been mauled to death by a dog in a field near Mill Lane on Wednesday evening (February 17).

A ewe was also mauled in the attack but survived its injuries.

The attack was discovered the following day and was reported to police officers at around 1.50pm on Thursday (18 February).

The surviving sheep have since been moved to another field.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on [email protected] or call 101, quoting serial 736 of 18/02.
