SOME brain power at a quiz night helped to raise funds for charity.
Ten teams rose to the challenge of the mayor of Seaford’s event which was held at the town’s rugby club.
The guests, who included the mayor and mayoress of Newhaven, Graham and Marlene Amy, were challenged by questions set by Seaford Town Council’s work experience student, Roisin McElroy.
The first place trophy went to the Seaford Twinning Association with The Dragons beaten into second place by just one point. After a tie breaker, the Newhaven, Peacehaven and Seaford Lions claimed the second runner up prize. The Glittering Spoon was awarded to the Fair Traders.
Also attending were representatives from the Crouch Bowling Club, the Lionesses and DaSH JFC.
Seaford mayor Councillor Bob Allen thanked everyone for their support of his chosen charities, the Seaford Citizens Advice Bureau and the National Coastwatch Institution who will benefit from the £150 raised from the evening.
