SEAFORD will be getting festive on Friday (December 2) as the town plays host to its Christmas Late Night Shopping event.
Fire juggling, live music, small children’s rides and the chance to pick up some Christmas goods is all part of the fun.
The festive evening, organised by Seaford Town Council and the Seaford Chamber of Commerce, will feature food and community stalls and at 5.30pm there is a chance to see Father Christmas and Seaford mayor Councillor Linda Wallraven turn on the Christmas lights at Barclays Bank.
The Nativity Scene - In the Frame will be at the Saxon Lane/High Street junction and face painting and glitter tattoos will also feature.
Carol singers, the Archway Choir and Seaford Musical Theatre are among several groups providing entertainment and shoppers can also wander down to the Crypt where a Christmas Craft Fair is taking place.
Dozens of the town’s shops will open until late in Broad Street, the High Street, Clinton Place and the surrounding area.
Broad Street, Sutton Road, Place Lane, Saxon Lane, Croft Lane and the High Street will be closed to traffic from 3pm to 9pm.
The town council thanks the businesses who contributed to the Christmas lights and sponsored the posters and flyers.
