TALENTED youths in Seaford are being sought for the first Young Mayor of Seaford’s Awards.
The ceremony will celebrate inspirational young people who have made a real difference to the town, their own group or in someone’s life.
There is also a category which adults can be nominated for and the awards will be presented on April 1 at Seaford Baptist Church.
People can nominate somebody who they believe has excelled in one of the categories. These will include one for young performer, young carer, youth group, sport and bravery.
Nominees must be born on or after September 1, 1992, unless it is an adult who is being put forward for the Adult Supporting Youth Activities category.
Nominees must live in the BN25 postcode area.
Nomination forms can be picked up at Seaford Town Council offices at 37 Church Street or Seaford Library.
Forms can also be posted to residents who ring the town council on 894870 and ask for them. Permission is needed from the parents or guardian of anyone being nominated under the age of 16.
