SEAHAVEN Lionesses has given a welcome boost to a good cause after handing over a £500 donation.

The recipient was Searchlight Workshops in Newhaven and it will go towards its Bright Lights appeal.

Robert Stevenson from Searchlight attended the Lionesses November meeting and outlined his plans to hopefully raise £1 million to refurbish one of the three care homes they have.

Searchlight workshop is a charity that offers residential, day care and respite care centre for 42 residents both male and female, whose ages range from 28 to 82 years and who suffer with physical and/or learning disabilities.

Funds were raised by the Lionesses throughout many events held over the year which were generously supported by the local community.
