GLOOMY weather failed to dampen the spirits of those taking part in Seaford in Bloom’s Golf Day.
The event took place last Wednesday at Blatchington Golf Course and proved to be an enormous success with £1,500 raised.
The amount, which was also raised from a well-supported raffle, will go towards the floral displays in the town.
Twenty-one teams of four took part, with the JxP Consultancy team taking the honours. The runners-up were Barwell’s Invitation and the winning mixed team was The Strangers.
Seaford in Bloom thanked everyone who supported the event, including organisers Arthur Bradbury and John Lockyer, together with their helpers, the teams that took part, catering staff, sponsors, and those who donated raffle prizes.
