A YOUTH facility in Seaford has received a makeover thanks to the town’s young people and the Community Payback Scheme.
The scheme at the Base, which is situated in the Salts Recreation Ground, followed a successful graffiti project at the Skate Park last year.
Anti-Social Behaviour co-ordinator Louisa Young and Ben King from Seaford Town Council organised community payback to give the centre a spruce up by re-painting the inside and outside of the building.
And following the Skate Park scheme Sam Whittaker from East Sussex Youth Development Service set up a further project for young people to create a graffiti arts mural in the newly-painted Base.
The walls now feature a wide range of sports and music images to give the building a new lease of life.
The Base is currently used by the youth of Seaford who attend band nights and drop in sessions run by the Youth Development Service.
