SEAFORD: Food Festival idea for Fun Day

FOOD producers in Sussex have the chance to get involved with this year’s Seaford Fun Day.

Seaford Town Council is planning for the event in conjunction with Wave Leisure and the Rotary Clubs of Seaford.

As well as the usual fun fair, club exhibitions and games, the idea of a food festival has been suggested.

This would take the form of ‘A Taste of Sussex’, an opportunity for local businesses and organisations to celebrate a wide variety of fresh, home cooked, traditional and organic delights.

The aim is to have something for everyone from ice cream, Sussex cheeses, meats, fish, produce, as well as locally-produced preserves and cakes.

If you are a local Sussex food producer and would like to tantalise the tastebuds of the residents of Seaford, contact Dawn Thompson at Seaford Town Council for information on booking a market stall on 894870 or email: dawn.thompson@seafordtowncouncil.gov.uk.

Stalls are limited to a first come first served basis.

Seaford Family Fun Day is on Sunday July 10 on the Downs Leisure Centre playing fields.
