The event will take place on Friday, April 15, and lots of entertainment is being laid on in the form of The Archway Gospelish Choir, The Seaford School of Dancing, Seaford Musical Theatre and Jane Reeves.

The evening has been nicknamed ‘Bob’s Last Bash’ and will be held at the Seaford Head Community College’s Arundel Road.

It will be in aid of Cllr Allen’s chosen charities, the Seaford Citizens Advice Bureau and the National Coastwatch Institution.

During the event winners of the Mayor’s Awards for Service to the Seaford community will be announced.

Cllr Allen, said, “There are so many deserving recipients from the volunteers and support services in Seaford that narrowing down the list of nominees to the winners was heart-wrenching for me.

“I’d like to thank all the unsung heroes of the town for their unwaivering dedication to making Seaford a better community, and to all those who nominated them.”

Tickets for the event will cost £7.50, which includes some table snacks, and are now available from the Town Council Office at 37 Church Street, Seaford, or by ringing Paula Woolven on 894870.
