Hailsham Screwfix staff are celebrating their achievement in completing the Mud Run seven kilometre off-road course. Participants raised an impressive £3,000 for The Screwfix Foundation, a charity which supports projects the fix, repair, maintain and improve properties and facilities for those in need. The £3,000 raised will also be match funded by Screwfix, bringing the total to a notable £6,000.

The seven km Mud Run featured a number of challenging man-made obstacles, including a hill slide, A-frames and various other wet and muddy sections, all of which pushed the 13 Screwfix runners and the other participants to the limit.

John Mewett, trustee of The Screwfix Foundation, said, “We’re delighted that colleagues in so many of our stores in East Sussex rallied behind the charity by doing this fantastic activity to raise money which we will then donate to our well deserving national and local charity partners.”
